New Publication in Journal MDPI Robotics

We are pleased to announce a new publication in the MDPI Robotics journal:

Dimensional Synthesis of Parallel Robots Using Bilevel Optimization for Design Optimization and Resolution of Functional Redundancy. Moritz Schappler.

The paper presents a new, computationally efficient method for designing parallel robots, providing a foundation for subsequent detailed constructions. The core idea is to understand robot synthesis as a bilevel optimization problem of dimensional synthesis, detailed design (segment thickness) and redundancy resolution (simulated motion in the design calculation).
