luhbots tutorial/lab

Content

The aim of the tutorial/lab is to gain practical experience in the field of mobile robotics and project-related teamwork. Technical problems from the fields of environmental navigation, perception and mobile manipulation must be solved. By working in the student robotics team luhbots, students have the opportunity to work on current, industry-relevant tasks in the fields of image processing, autonomous driving and path planning. Autonomous soccer robots serve as the hardware basis. Programming is carried out, for example, using ROS (Robot Operating System).  In addition to the programming tasks, the students also work on organizational topics such as project planning, sponsor acquisition, event management and public relations. In addition, participation in national and international competitions in the RoboCup leagues is possible if successful.

After successfully completing the course, students will be able to:

  • Solve a specific problem as part of a team
  • Test and apply theoretical principles of mobile robotics on real robot systems
  • Gain in-depth knowledge in the field of image processing, autonomous driving, path planning, hardware development, etc.

Registration

The course can only be taken in consultation with the luhbots team leader and the contact person (see below). The tutorial/lab can be taken every semester.
