Dynamic Systems

In the scope of the lecture "Dynamic Systems", the basics for the representation and analysis of dynamic signals and systems are taught and illustrated using examples from mechatronic application systems.

Topics

Listed below is a list of the main topics covered in the scope of the lecture "Dynamic Systems":

Classes and properties of dynamic systems

  • LTI systems, SISO/MIMO, discrete-event and hybrid systems, deterministic/stochastic systems
  • Nonlinear systems, rest positions, linearization
  • Continuous-time and discrete-time signals:
  • Elementary signals, sampling, A/D- D/A conversion
  • Fourier transform, Laplace transform

Continuous-time systems:

  • Differential equations, state representation, impulse response
  • Transfer function, poles and zeros, continuous-time filters
  • Stability, block diagrams
  • Frequency response, Bode diagrams

Discrete-time systems

  • Discretization methods (fundamental matrix, bilinear transformation,..., comparison)
  • Difference equation, state representation, z-transformation, impulse response
  • Transfer function, poles and zeros, discrete-time filters
  • Stability, block diagrams
